The Guinness Book of Records, in its 1992 and subsequent editions, declared the "longest real word" in the English language to be floccinaucinihilipilification at 29 letters.
i once heard some say this word- though i am not sure whether it is actually a word!
anti-dis-establishmentarianism
Thats got 28 letters, so the other word is still longer.
I would certainly like to know what it means though!
Anti-dis-establishmentarianism: Properly, opposition to the disestablishment of the Church of England, but popularly cited as an example of a long word.
This is the meaning of the word you were looking for, but the longest word is that 29 letter one we see above:
floccinaucinihilipilification Hope this helped both of you out.
With Hope,
The Raven
