Somerset Maugham is probably my favorite author. His short stories are among the most entertaining I've ever read. Cakes and Ale, of Human Bondage, the Razor's Edge...all amazing. I was just wondering if their is anyone out there that shares my love. I got to school at Purdue University; nearly all of my friends haven't even heard of him. But that's not saying much because most of them haven't heard of authors like Toni Morrison, Henry James, or Vonnegut (which is completely ridiculous!). When asking the girls who their favorite author is they say, 'Oh, probably Nicholas Spark,' and the guys say, 'f--- that, I don't read.' Peace, Ben
