I have an affinity for fairly modern fiction. I would probably have to say it's a tie betwwen three authors: J.R.R.Tolkein because i admire the extent to which he created his fantasy world, Stephen King, and an author probably no one has heard of -- John Shirley.

I would have to say, J.R.R.Tolkien some amazing books, interesting as well.
Dave Pelzer, This man is amazing, He wrote a group of books entitled - a child called it, the lost boy, and a man named dave. These books are like a bio into his life, He lived a scary life and had an amazing turn out, He lived through beatings, burns and alsorts from his mother, she was a horrible woman.
If you ever get the chance to read it take up the opportunity it is an awesome read that will make you realise what youve got and even sadden you.

My favorite author has got to be James Rollins. He writes mostly science fiction, but his books are good. Here are some of them: Amazonia,
Subterranean, Excavation, and Deep Fathom. Those are some of the first he wrote. The reason why I think he's such a good write is because he includes numerous genres in his stories.
Tootles,
Raven

I love Thoreau's quotes too, one of my most favourite is:
The man who goes alone can start today; but he who travels with another must wait till that other is ready.

For some reason, I really like Sylvia Plath. I haven't even read a lot of her stuff. I just really like the ones that I come across.

My favorite quotations come from Emerson. I think it's amazing how he had so much sadness in his life, yet such a positive outlook.
