This is my published poem. It recently got published in a county-wide book from the school i attend. So many students entered in their poems, letters, and short stories, but only a certain number were picked to be published in this book called
Connections that can most likely be purchased at many bookstores now. Okay well that's about it... Hope you like it, and I'm open for any kind of criticism
Our Winter
This is my winter
The time when frozen breath mingled,
Bringing me back to the time of you and me.
When the sounds of crunching ice beneath
Cold feet were so familiar to our ears. When
We could pick up the petrified leaves of autumn
And toss them into the streets, watching as
They fell almost as slow as the snow. It
Reminded me of how gently your beautiful
Hair fell to your shoulders.
This is your winter, alos.
The time when frozen memories formed as
Sparkling icicles in our minds, sticking as
Long as our love was there. The time when
Grey clouds of frost would gather in your
Eyes, showing your worries and troubles for
Me and only me. We could sit for hours,
Knowing we had our hopes, our past, our
Futures, our winter. Together
This is our winter.
