So many...

A Wrinkle in Time by Madeline L'engle

A Prayer for Owen Meanie by John Irving

Just about anything Mark Twin wrote!

I also loved Tolkein's LOTR books and Phillip Pullman's Dark Materials trilogy.

There are just so many!

"The Best Book Ever" is a strongly subjective question as many of the other posts have mentioned; however I too have my opinion on the subject.

Here are my favorites as of the moment:

Of Mice and Men by John Stienbeck
Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom
Their Eyes were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston
