I was just wondering if anyone else has read the play No Exit. It is one of my favorites and thout provoking I think. It is a good read that I recomand. It is about hell but has a little twist to it. Quite clever.

"Hell is... other people."
--Jean Paul Sartre
I've read No Exit, as well as played in a few scenes in High School (lo, those many years ago).
My favorite Sartre work, however, is that which deals with the three planes of conciousness. It has helped me to understand people, including myself, quite a bit.
I've also enjoyed the work of his "life partner" Simone de Beauvoir, The Ethics of Ambiguity. A fascinating piece... if we can never be sure of the nature of knowledge how can we make moral decisions?
