I believe so, one should cherish life when its worth living. Life itself brings nothing except death, one need not hold on to life when it brings nothing else.
Most people,however, hold on to life adamantly simply because it's their only life, thinking that its the most important thing in the world.
Since death is also a part of life, I believe that releasing is sometimes more correct than holding on.
