War to peace, peace to war, started and stopped by the trading door.
Seed to plant, plant to crop, by the border made to stop.
Law to rules, rules to law, the vice of trade made to claw.
Dollars to objects, objects to things, must be a member of the trading rings.

Lines of trade have no grace, they have no heart, nor face.
So more you trade, less you give, now it’s hard for all to live.
Work all day, so you say, if all could work there’d be more hay.
Lines of steel, armor to flesh, they killed those ones and the rest.

Rich to poor, poor to rich, the lines of trade hit a glitch.
Eye to eye, they can not see, across the vast trading sea.
Corp to market, market to coin, merchants seek to join.
Swap in lanes, lines of trade, faith in friendship begin to fade.

Hey Pote!
I'm new too but even so I know how to reconize good writing when I read it and that was exellent.
I find it a bit sad though ... I mean, it maybe because I idealist and I like to think that everyone in the world has a good side and not everyone is materialistic (although Fate seems to want to prouve me otherwise...) you know I'd like to think there's a chance for humanity you know...
But, that's besides the point right... happens happens right? And it's just a poem no matter how touching it is...
