Have been catching up with some younger fiction to keep up to date. Discovered Charlaine Harris' "Sookie Stackhouse" which is way out but so very funny because it really takes the mickey out of books like Twilight. I believe they are planning a television series and hope they do as it could be good fun.
Also Simon Greene's "Nightside " series, again absolutely way beyond any possible credibility and over violent, but I congratulate their imagination.
Hardly classic literature but all light hearted and entertaining.
Made a change from Quicksilver which I have given up reading and could not face the rest of the series. There are very few books in my whole life that I have not managed to finish and I am sorry.

Kakykoo, it is my fault. not that of the author, that I can't follow it, but thank you for your kind comments. The storyline of Quicksilver moves backwards and forwards between dates in time and mixes real and fictional characters. as well as giving so much intricate detail, that I could not follow easily and no longer have the concentration. So would not like others to be put off by my failings.
