What are your favourite individual words?? Sound or meaning...
Mine are: Bete noire - I use this all the time.
For the sound, I love: buttercup, alabaster, trajectory, cocoa and scallywag.
Someone in the newspaper today chose 'Plagent' meaning 'making the noise of waves, breaking or beating'.

I am fond of the words fixing and hankering.

I am fixing to get off work and go home and ride my ATV.

I've got a hankering to cook some wild boar meat for supper.

I need help with some words to finish out a statement.

Fibbing is to fishing as _______ is to _________.

How would you finish it? (To whom it might apply.)

cloudless, September, haven, refuge, tender, passion, autumn, golden, to
