Quotations and Literature Forum

As I was browsing through The Pocket Book of Quotations I noticed that there was only one quote on the subject of Quotations.

I thought that was a rather negative quote to include in a collection of quotations. If someone said that was a paradox then I would not disagree. Since Rogue said he had more than 1200 books I have decided to inventory my library. My library exist in different places. I have a library at work and one at home. There are books that are boxed for collection and books boxed for disposal. During this process I have discovered that I only own one (1) book on Quotations and it is the Pocket Book of Quotations. Most of my quotation research remains in files or on disc. Consequently I am making a point to buy books on quotations during the 2003 Calender year. I also wanted to invite the forum users to post the number of books they own on quotations. Before the week has ended I should have an accurate count of all the books in my library. I would estimate the number at 200. Many of the books that I have read remain at the Madison County Library. A substantial percentage of novels that I own have been loaned out to friends and remain unreturned.

Greetings from the Forked Deer River

Today is Saint Patrick's Day. Today is not unlike most, yet quizzical in a prosaic sense. I am still in the process of taking an inventory of the books that I own. You might say that I have been digging for gold. So far, I have found 4 new books on hunting. (That brings the total to 25) Just yesterday I found the book, Who's Who Among American High School Students, 1973-1974. My photo is in the book.

I am still holding my water to see how many different books on quotations that some of you hold.
