I'm pretty sure the following is about the author of that quote:
The Economics Press Inc. was founded in 1954 by John L. Beckley (1913-1998). He started by writing booklets and pamphlets that helped people do their jobs better and get along with coworkers. Companies large and small bought these booklets to hand out to their employees or place in reading racks in employee lounge areas.
"Mr. B," as he was affectionately known, was more than a successful businessperson; he was also a visionary. He saw the long-term benefits of having his employees own a share of the business. Although he had many opportunities to sell his company, he chose, instead, to give it to his employees. Today, the employee-owners of The Economics Press share directly in the fruits of their labor.
