I am trying to decide what quote that I would like on the box if you were giving it to me. If I decide on a a selection then I will be happy to share it with you. Right now I am coming up dry. What will be the attained age of your boyfriend?

It's his 18th birthday...Actually I was thinking about taking a lyric out of our song (it's Ain't No Mountain High Enough by Marvin Gaye)

Just took a few seconds to write this, so I think it's original:

Inside this box,
Are memories,
It has a lock,
You hold the key.

Yeah, pretty corny, but it sounds like you've already chosen something anyway.

Here are a few quotes on memory I'm partial to:

"It's a poor sort of memory that only works backward."
-- Lewis Carroll (1832 - 1898)

"Memory feeds imagination."
-- Amy Tan (1952 - )
(perfect if the engraving is charged by the letter :) )

"One must have a good memory to be able to keep the promises one makes."
-- Friedrich Nietzsche (1844 - 1900)

It would be easier to come up with an epitaph for a tombstone.

This morning I woke up with these words on my mind.
Treasures of the past

That is all that I could come up with and I realize that suggestions are nothing more than possiblities. I have a box that my wife gave me when I was in college. We were not married at the time. It is a wooden box that contains photogprahs, keepsakes, newspaper clippings and a collection of colorful patches of parks (such as Great Smoky Mountains and Yellowstone National Park). On the top of the box there are two words. VALUABLE JUNK

> VALUABLE JUNK

That's my favorite so far.
