I don't know who the other two are, but Casey Stengal was a baseball player who later managed the Yankees and Mets. He is know for many pithy quotes.

I don't know if this is the same Art Spander or not:

Art Spander, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, can be reached by fax at (510) 531-8068 or by mail at P.O. Box 10376, Pleasanton, CA 94588. He can be reached by e-mail: typoes@AOL.com .

Art Spander is a sports columnist for the Oakland (California) Tribune, espnet.sportszone on the internet, and formerly was a sports columnist for the San Francisco Examiner and San Francisco Chronicle. He is a five-time winner in writing competitions of the Golf Writers Association of America and also contributes to various American magazines and to the Daily Telegraph and Scotland on Sunday in Britain.

BTW, biographies are coming soon to this site. With any luck I'll have the first few online in a few days. Of course it will take a long time to cover *all* of the authors, and there are always those mysterious types like "Alan Corenk" and "Ellen Parr" who seem to exist only as quotation authors. :)
