Quotations and Literature Forum

I would be very grateful if anyone can list (or give links to anywhere else they can be found) any eloquent, poetic, creative quotations made about the countries of China, Vietnam, Singapore (separately, not together), in terms of makes each of them unique, or what they're each seen as representing or symbolizing (in a preferably positive sense).

They don't have to exclusively be ancient, historical quotes.
