Quotations and Literature Forum

On Facebook, I've been seeing the following repeatedly:



With the events in Wisconsin, it seemed very convenient and my curiosity got the best of me. So off I went in search of this quote. Pretty much the only place I can find it is on Facebook and other forums. But I can't find anything older than a few weeks, and nothing to make me think it's actually real. I haven't been able to find any sign of it on any quotation sites.

Thoughts? Just something somebody made up to fit a current event? Or do my searching skills fail?

Well, that was interesting, but it didn't mention the quote at all.

I don't think anyone disputes that Hitler abolished unions on May 2, 1933 -- it's the quote itself that's in question. If anything, that link reinforces the idea that some people seem very determined to draw parallels between the Wisconsin government and Hitler. Along with the fact that I can't find any mention of this quote that doesn't relate to the Wisconsin situation, it raises suspicions that this quote may be made up.
