Robert Graves wrote someplace (I'm anxious to know the source) that Homer did not leave information about himself in his works (or words to this effect).

Can anyone help me track this reference?

Hello,

It's probably in the introduction to 'The Anger of Achilles', his prose/poetry version of 'The Illiad'. [/i]

Chris—

Many thanks, I would have thought as much about finding the quote I need in the Introduction to The Anger of Achilles, tho I suspect it may be in any one of the essays in The Crowning Privilege. I'll advise when I have a confirmed answer.

Robert
