Okay, it doesn't say exactly this, but it will impress your teacher: a section of Walt Whitman's "Song of Myself" talks how about how "I am" (we all are) a part of the people we meet in our lives and the time we live in, etc. But I think since it is for school, you should find the exact passage for yourself -- it will build character and critical thinking skills, and this is a pretty big clue to get you started.
