When the Phillies lost game number 10,000 the television briefly showed a fan with a sign which purported to bear a quote from Thomas Edison. Assuming that Edison made one remark like that which, of the two below, if either, is the quote and which is a paraphrase?
# 1. “Results? Why, man, I have gotten lots of results! If I find 10,000 ways something won't work, I haven't failed.”
# 2 "I have not failed, I have just found 10,000 ways that won't work."
