Here are some variations on the theme....
"Gandhi is a model of integrity and organizational action that instructs us all. It is timely for Western leaders to look outside our culture for right ways to hold and use power. This book book does a good job of connecting the spirit of Gandhi to our experience of running a business."

The word "authenticity" comes to mind, in the sense of being real. I have a model of integrity that's very simple and really works. To me, integrity means that which I'm doing on the outside matches who I am on the inside. When I say "yes," it's a yes that resonates inside me. If inside me I strike a clear "no," it's about lining up what I'm doing with who I am.

I will be trustworthy.
I will be worthy of trust, honor, and confidence. I will be a model of integrity by
doing the right thing even when the cost is high. I will be honest in all my activities.
~ The Pennsylvania 4-H youth program (Code of Conduct)
Next time you face an ethical dilemma, look to your values, the law, the code of ethics for your profession and the future. Will you be able to walk with your head held high and pride in your honor if you take the course of action you are considering?
This country, your city, your neighborhood, your profession, the company you work for, all need integral, ethical leadership. Be a role model of integrity and ethics. Aim to live above reproach and you will prosper in the trust you create.
