I am looking for the source of a quotation that goes something like this: "Too many people spend money they don't have buying stuff they don't need to impress people they don't even like." I think it might be Will Rogers, but I haven't found it anywhere in his quotes. Any ideas?

On a search of the Internet I only saw one citing as follows:

Will Rogers, the great American folk humorist, once said, "Too many people spend money they have not earned, to buy things they do not want, to impress people they don't even like."

Mostly it is unattributed:

In business today, too many executives spend money they haven't earned,to buy things they don't need,to impress people they don't even like.
