I have looked and looked for the author of this quote, but no success yet. So I am turning to the Forum. Here's the quote:
"You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have."
I live in Japan, and given what we are going thru these days, this quote could not be more appropriate. The earthquakes continue daily, but no tsunami of importance. Far more worrying are the power stations and their nuclear content.
Does anyone know who first said this quote? I am giving it to many, foreigners and Japanese alike, and I want to tell them who said it.
Thank you for any help.

This could have been quoted by anyone. No one seems to have laid claim to it. Looks like it's one of those Anonymous one's.

Woodchopper, I am sorry no-one can find a source of that excellent quote for you yet.
Maybe you would like this one too, as it seems to exemplify the attitude and response of the Japanese people to these sad and difficult times.
"Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will."
Mahatma Gandhi 1869-1948
