Can anyone please find out who, when, in what language, to whom, in what context, etc... said (or where this saying is from):

Show me your friends and I'll show you who you are ~attributed to Words of Wisdom from Confucius

Also, the playwright Euripides says in Phoenissae "Every man is like the company he is wont to keep." But, once again, variations of this saying are in many languages and cultures.
