Interested in any new information about the quote "he lies like an eyewitness".
I have seen it attributed to the German philosopher, Nietzsche, but more often the source is given as a Russian proverb.
I have also read that the above translation, into English, is not totally accurate in the sense that the original statement referred to eyewitnesses being too sure about what they had seen and often getting things wrong. Not certain if this is true or not.
Still the translation, into English, sounds good and has a real ring to it!
