"Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race." -- Calvin Coolidge 30th president of US

I would like to know when and where he said this. My internet searching skills are basically limited to wikipedia.

Does anyone have any thoughts on where/how to find this?

Thanks in advance. :)

Coolidge wrote this after his retirement for the New York Life Insurance Company, on whose Board of Directors he served.

Wow thanks.

Any idea of the context? Was it for an employee motivational poster or company motto?
