Quotationspage.com has this little ditty attributed to:
Mahatma Gandhi
http://www.quotationspage.com/quote/36366.html

I have my doubts that he ever even thought that.
Regardless, this is not a quotation that is associated with Gandhi.

"...from Jim Emerson of Seattle: “The sentiment is usually attributed to St. Augustine, who said, ‘Cum dilectione hominum et odio vitiorum,’ or ‘With love for mankind and hatred of sins.’ It is often loosely translated as: ‘Love the sinner and hate the sin,’ a saying often incorrectly attributed to Jesus.”

Hate the sin, but love the sinner.
~ Popular evangelism technique not given in scripture

If only you, God, would kill the wicked. Get away from me, you bloodthirsty men!
For they speak against you wickedly. Your enemies take your name in vain.
Yahweh, don't I hate those who hate you? Am I not grieved with those who rise up against you?
I hate them with perfect hatred. They have become my enemies.

~ Psalm 139 "A Psalm by David"
