The Great Spirit has blessed me with a spring trophy. On April 9th I bagged a longbeard gobbler in the meadows of Camp Juniper at 7:10 a.m. The bird weighed more than 20 pounds, He had a 12-inch beard and one-inch spurs. The bird was cooked in a Brinkman Smoker. We enjoyed smoked turkey and some Sau'vignon Blanc' on the evening of Good Friday.
