Don't you just love titles like these? They are so descriptive! They make it so easy to search for and retrieve if you want to pull them back.

I've been meaning to put up some guidelines for posting... it helped a bit in one of my other forums.

Of course, 95% of people ignore the guidelines and post with the subject "Anyone know this quote"...

I'm with tn on this one. Most importantly, it makes it hard to search for the quotation later on. I don't really see a possible solution; even if a rule was placed, I don't doubt that it would be ignored completely.

The only other solution is that the forums become moderated, so that a moderator could quickly replace the title. This would make later searching for it a lot easier.

Does anyone see another possible solution?

I giggled all the way through these posts, enjoying the listings of nondescript descriptors, and shaking my head at 'those silly folks who write lame headers'. Then, of course I returned to the index, and blushed to see a nearby posting I authored, titled "a suggestion." What can I say?? I was a new member way back then!! Sorry, the nos, greekboy and mgm, I'll try to do better!

And as for 'a suggestion' about solving this problem.... forget it! There are bigger fish to fry!
