We caught the wrath of Thor on Sunday. A tornado wiped out the downtown area and gutted West Tennessee. Our property sustained minor damage but we were without electrical power for 24 hours. Our internet service has been wiped out so I will be out of pocket for a few days.

Sorry to learn of the damage in Tennessee. Sympathy to everyone who has suffered a loss. Hope services return to normal as soon as posssible.
I'm sure we all feel the same.
Regards, Henry

The telephone lines and computer service have been restored here at the fort but almost 12,000 folks are still without power in Jackson. Since we live out in the sticks, we missed the worst damage. Yesterday I got an estimate on my truck and the damage was over 4-K. My son works at a grocery store in Lexington. He said they had to throw out about 50-K of meat, dairy and frozen goods. (Fortunately the store has insurance.) The High School in Lexinton was damaged and school will be out all week. Most folks in Lexington are still without power. So far, our projected out of pocket expense from the storm will exceed 1-K.
I am experiencing post storm stress. My regularity has been affected and so has my appetite. It seems that I am consuming more calories and drinking more coffee. Just this morning I took the Queenie Pie out to breakfast. (This is a rare air.) We had "heap good heating" at Perkins.
I can remember that a tornado struck Huntingdon, Tennesee, on May 7th, 1971. I was 13 years old. Three people were killed. This happened on a Friday afternoon. I had organized a camping/fishing trip for my friends and we were camped on a lake when the storm was brewing. We went to pull in our fishing lines and the fish went into a feeding frenzy. We started hauling in fish as fast as we could pull them in. It was awesome.
